Permaculture Pie 

In the edible landscape the late Spring is a bounty for a pie maker, usually reserved for thanksgiving, baking can warm up a chilly spring day.   

 

  
Using the strawberries and rhubarb from the kitchen garden and the strawberry jam from last years harvest to complete the permaculture pie. 

  
This is my slow food pie…I have been waiting two season for this backyard treat. How sweet it is to have more food and less lawn.
