Thyme hops next to Sage Row

As I tended my crops under the solar eclipse next to the sage row…

Thyme hops 005

It was a moment of reflection, that we live under the same moon, same sun, same dry earth that we labor for another day as time moves forward.  The rows of thyme can barely be contained in my permaculture model as they skirt the divide to create new life as I trim the woody undergrowth and ready the gardens for fall.

The watermelons planted in June have spread.  Irrigation has been there only method of survival these food safe buckets are a chore and I seek a respite from a thunderstorm to nourish this new crop.
